All you need to know about the VIVO IPL 2021

In 2007, the Board of Control for Cricket in India established the Indian Premier League, a professional Twenty20 cricket league. Many Indian cricketers have the opportunity to showcase their cricketing skills in IPL and are also guided by experienced players. So, IPL tournaments have become a great opportunity not only for Indian players but also for foreign players to showcase their skills. Many of those international players have been selected to play for their national teams after delivering incredible performance in IPL.

2021 will see the fourteenth season of the Indian Premier League which is also referred to as IPL 14 or Vivo IPL 2021. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event was held in the UAE last year and it was conducted across three cities. 2021 Vivo IPL is going to be a real treat for cricket lovers this summer. It brings together 8 teams from different parts of the country. They will host the tournament from Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru for 52 days. In total, there will be 60 matches conducted in this 52-day tournament. The country is largely under control with vaccination drives being conducted in all-state to make sure IPL is the perfect treat during summer. All eight teams will be staying in a bio-secure environment across the six venues.

The 2021 IPL player auction in the month of March. All eight teams splashed the cash to strengthen their respective squads by pulling players of their choice. Chris Morris, the South African all-rounder, became the most expensive buy ever at the IPL 2021 auction. Additionally, he became the most expensive buy-in IPL history by being snapped up by the Rajasthan Royals for a whopping Rs 16.25 crore.
