In 2007, the Board of Control for Cricket in India established the Indian Premier League, a professional Twenty20 cricket league. Many Indian cricketers have the opportunity to showcase their cricketing skills in IPL and are also guided by experienced players. It brings together 8 teams from different parts of the country. They will host the tournament from Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru for 52 days. In total, there will be 60 matches conducted in this 52-day tournament. The country is largely under control with vaccination drives being conducted in all-state to make sure IPL is the perfect treat during summer. All eight teams will be staying in a bio-secure environment across the six venues.

Chris Morris, the South African all-rounder, became the most expensive buy ever at the IPL 2021 auction. Additionally, he became the most expensive buy-in IPL history by being snapped up by the Rajasthan Royals for a whopping Rs 16.25 crore.
