This is our regular feature where every day I do a post with the top 5 Florida political stories that people are talking about. Each story will include a link to a summary of the story, my brief comment and links to other blogs talking about the story.
1. UF radio program features homeless races and mentally-ill game shows: What hath Howard Stern wrought? It’s ridiculous that any human beings would think that this is entertainment or that it should be aired. Any advertiser that supports this show should be boycotted.
2. Via Beth Reinhard – “Crist indoctrinates schoolchildren with socialist propaganda”: That’s funny, funny stuff. It’d be great if more media people would puncture nonsensical, hysterical right-wing propaganda stories with facts and style like this.
3. FP&L flies Republican members of Congress around on private planes: What a shocker. The culture of corruption in the Republican party lives on.
4. Charlie Crist threatens PSC members they’d better not vote for a rate increase: Too bad he won’t follow through on it. Too bad there aren’t more Democrats in Congress who will take strong stances like this one and follow through on them.
5. FDP Netroots Caucus Awards for 2009: If you haven’t voted yet, you need to get to it.
