This is our new feature where every morning I do a quick post with the top five posts/stories that I think people should read from the previous day. The basic list of possible sources is open to Florida newspapers and political web sites and this list of progressive blogs. Check the list to make sure your site — and those you read and think are valuable — are on the list. The list is on the Wiki, so feel free to add your favorites to it (but don’t take any off, e-mail me if you think something doesn’t belong). Without any further ado, here are the top five posts you should’ve read yesterday.
1. St. Petersburg Times – Top vote-machine maker also tops complaint list.
2. St. Petersburg Times – Meet the Democrats in the HD43 Race. And the Republicans.
3. Grassroots Brevard – Welcome the Brevard County Young Democrats to the blogosphere. We need them.
4. the 13th juror – Will clearing out Gainesville’s Tent City solve the problem or make things worse?
5. TampaBay Democrat – Key West Hits Domestic Partner Milestone.

Thanks for the link, Kenneth. We just got off the ground and ratified our constitution recently, but the membership has ballooned and the excitement is palpable. Our President is also the new Vice Chair of our DEC and the Chair is a wonderful, progressive woman who believes strongly in grassroots organizing.
The Brevard County Republican Party won’t know what hit them.
You also might want to check out the Indian River Young Democrats. They have more than 50 members and raised more money last year than all the other chapters in the state combined. We share a Congressional district and a few state legislative districts with them, and will be working closely together in the future.
You may find the Indian River Young Dems’ back and forth with David Weldon (FL-15) in the opinion section of Vero Beach Press Journal very interesting.
This is a great feature. It’s so good to hear from Eddie again and to see what’s going on.
The District 43 race looks real interesting. It will be nice to see how all the primaries turn out after Tuesday.
