Gossip (or truth) alert! The following seems to be happening in our county–
As most of you know, the DEC reorganization elections will be taking place in the month of December. Our Hillsborough meeting is on Monday, December 1st.
We have an excellent slate of candidates, but as expected, former Hillsborough County Chair Janee Murphy seems to be working behind the scenes to help elect her own (dare I say) puppets in order to accomplish her personal goals. There’s word that she’s supporting those who will help her hang on to her DNC seat, the only way she can maintain power since losing her precinct election in August. And she is also said to be trying to oust Karen Thurman as Chair of the Florida Democratic Party, a seemingly perpetual effort on her part.
