I am a 36-year-old man and I got robbed at an ATM in a Pittsburgh suburb. My robber wanted to make a political statement as well. After seeing an Obama bumper sticker on my car, the man beat me up and scratched a dollar sign into my forehead. He robbed me at knifepoint Thursday night outside of a Citizens Bank near Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street just before 9 p.m. The attack began at 8:50 pm ET and I called the police at 9:30. Initially I was robbed by a tall, college-aged white man in a suit and tie and an American flag lapel pin. He took $60 from me and I ran away, but the robber followed me to my car. At that point, he became enraged at the bumper sticker and began beating her and scratched the $ into my forehead, apparently as a reference to John McCain. I went to the hospital early this morning after initially refusing medical attention last night, and had an MRI and a CAT scan. The doctors believe that my forehead will heal fully. The police want to administer a polygraph to me, but I’m not sure. What do you guys think?
