Where to Go to Find Work

A recent discussion on one of the many e-mail lists I was on was where can you go to find work that is related to progressive politics. These were the things that we came up with:

Democratic Gain is the first one I learned about and it is great because you can search job postings by state and locale and there are a pretty good number of Florida jobs on the site.

The New Organizing Institute runs a Google Group with job listings.

Jobs That Are Left is another good site, but the search feature is less sophisticated and they don’t have much in Florida.

OpenLeft has begun including a regular roundup of progressive job opportunities.

Progressive Exchange is pretty good, but it doesn’t have any southeastern jobs available.

Progress Florida may follow the lead of other statewide progressive orgs and offer a job bank of progressive job listings here in Florida. The key word is “may” of course. We’ll keep everyone posted should something like this develop.
